THE BRAND
Having first learned the art of woodworking while building her grandparents log cabin at the age of 20, Homestead By Hand was the perfect name for both where owner and operator Shelby came from and where she is now with this company. Every order is handcrafted by Shelby herself with care and pride, knowing it was bought with intention by you the customer. From sourcing wood in person from local lumber yards across North Carolina, to the final finishing details - production is driven by the understanding that each item will soon be a conversation piece in someone's home.

Hi! I am Shelby, thanks for stopping by. This all started with an eye. An eye for design and a desire to turn those designs into reality. After years of learning the craft of woodworking through making home furnishings for myself when I could not afford to buy them - I am now proud to be making affordable, wooden home decor & gifts for people all across the country.
